Native Plant Program

Recognizing both the high demand for ecoregion-specific native plants and the limited local availability, WCRC established the Native Plant Program (NPP). This program engages volunteers in prepping native plants used in restoration projects while providing opportunities to work alongside Riparian Specialists, learn about the importance of native vegetation, and gain hands-on experience in conservation at the WCRC nursery and project sites.

Volunteer Activities Include:

Potting plants

Separating seedlings

Collecting seeds

In ground planting

Invasive plant removal
